recolor for artboard 2

Workflow

  1. Follow Along the in-class pre-activity/demo

  2. Take a photograph of your class folder with your phone or class camera (also scanner can be used)

  3. Email yourself the photo and put it in a links folder for A4

  4. Place the jpg format photo into an Illustrator letter size document

  5. Experiment with various Image Trace options to see what you liked best

  6. Clean it up! Practice refining some areas of the image trace as shown in the demo to get rid of excessive spaltter blobby areas

  7. Add some additional graphic elements such as brush work, lines or shapes

  8. Integrate some text into your layout so it feels cohesive with the rest of the design

  9. Step back from your work look at your design standing back from your computer, is it too busy? does it need more emphasis? Could elements be better grouped together? What changes would you make looking at it with fresh eye and from a new perspective?

  10. Recolor a duplicate of your design using the recolor palette

  11. Turn In your Lastname A4 folder into the Graphic Design 1 A4 turn in folder located on the "classes" server
Inside your A4 folder should be:
    -pre-activity
-final illustrator file (with 3 artboards)
