Expressive Type
As a designer, one thing you should always consider as one of your solutions is type! Letters are inherently interesting in shape and at times can replace imagery as the focal point. On this project we will practice keeping type as the dominant element on the page and consider how using various techniques can transform the form to express the meaning of the words we choose.

Getting Started
- Complete the "type refresher" pre-activity file found in the classes folder
- Brainstorm using some of the guided ideas listed on the provided worksheet (keep this in your folder)
- Use the template in the classes folder as a starting point for size
- Play & Plan in Illustrator (review some of the design considerations above)

- Turn In your A1lastname.ai file into our period turn in folder on the classes drive
Option
Instead of choosing your name, choose a word that relates to a current news story. The expressive interpretation of the word can be literal or based on your personal opinion of the story.
