A1 Toon Me Challenge

Project: create a self portrait that is part edited photo / part digital portrait
Due Date:  TBD check white board
Grading Parameters: LT 1-4 (see parameter checklist in classes folder) 

A quick intro project to get your creative vibes going…

Brainstorm

Create a moodboard that includes at least 3 ideas
consider - digital style, color palette, photo angles, composition breaks
(include some handdrawn thumbnails & works that are not just toon me samples)
copy and paste tutorial links on your moodboard that you plan to reference (look up adobe photoshop and illustrator cartoon portrait tutorials, digital portrait tutorials, digital painting tutorials, etc)
tabloid or letter size OK

Research

• Look at some online tutorials for digital paint style

• consider using wacom tablet or personal ipad

• look at #toonme samples on instagram

Production File

• built in Photoshop or Illustrator (If using Illustrator, prep photo in Photoshop first)

• Photo size (final page size at 200dpi) remember not to res up!

• sizes 10 x 10 (custom), 8.5 x 11 (letter) or 11 x 17 (tabloid) vertical or horizontal OK

• should be a head shot

• post on our class insta account
